Experience Idyllic Village Life at Cibuntu Village
This quiet village sits in the valleys near Ciremai National Park, the landscape used to be a rock mining site which contributed to the unique landscape of high peaked hills and low valleys. The village of Cibuntu was awarded Best Homestays category in ASEAN in 2016. Join the locals in their daily activities such as harvesting bamboo and making Angklung, a traditional musical instrument. Additionally, you’ll also get to eat the local foods, visit historic sites and learn about their community cooperatives.

Arrive at Desa Cibuntu.
Welcomed by the local POKDAWIS, or Local Village Tourism Board while sipping on Cibuntu’s signature drink “Jasreh”. Here the locals will gladly converse with you about their village and the cooperatives that they have started to start up the village economy.
You’ll then make your way to your accomodation; homestay or tent.
You can ask the locals to help you make a campfire in the campgrounds.
After Breakfast, you’ll be guided by one of the young locals to be taken around to see the Neolithic archeology that is found in the village. Additionally, you will also trek through a small part of Mount Ciremai National Park.
You’ll take a look at the “Goat Houses”, a cooperative that the locals started of herding goats.
Visit the Angklung workshop and see the local artisans making this traditional music instrument. You might get a personal training in the Angklung if you’re lucky!
You can take a dip in the swimming pools, or you can visit the Clay Workshop and make your own pottery.
